Most leave Paris between 7:15 and 7:45 am, or collect you from your hotel, and are back around 6 pm. Others start at Reims station after a train you book yourself. Some need a minimum number: My Winedays runs with at least four, and the Reims afternoon with two. If a date falls short, the operator offers another date, another tour or a refund.
The Reims afternoon costs $152 per person, and shared days from Paris start at $268. A private car for the same day costs from $550 per person.
Most shared days cap you at seven or eight. The all-inclusive minivan day and BackTrip's day stop at seven. The Go Go Tours days take up to 23, 24 or 25, and their cards say so.
The family growers are in villages among the vines, not in town. France Intense, Sparkling Tour and À La Française visit growers only, and My Winedays and Blue Fox pair a grower with a big house.

Start from Paris if you want to be collected and brought back, and do not mind four hours on the road. Start from Reims if you want more of the day among the vines. France Intense suggests the 8:28 TGV from Paris-Est, arriving at 9:14, Monday to Saturday. It also notes there is no train for its Sunday start in July and August. The afternoon day fits a late train: the Reims afternoon with two family growers meets at 2 pm.
