A big house and growersTastings in the fareLunch includedParis hotel pickup
The day to book if you want both kinds of champagne in one go. A minivan collects you from your Paris hotel, and you spend about six hours in the region: a big house in the morning, lunch with champagne, then a family producer. Everything you drink is in the fare, and so is lunch. Budget only for a tip and any bottles you buy.

A big house in the morning, family growers after lunch
Eight tastings or more

Both kinds of producer
A famous house, then two family vineyards, or a cooperative and a family vineyard.
Lunch with three champagnes
A French lunch paired with at least three champagnes, at a grower's or a restaurant.
A tasting among the vines
Your guide pours in the middle of the vineyards when the weather allows.
From your hotel door
Pickup in central Paris, with a croissant and a bottle of water on board.
Eight in the minivan
The group never passes eight, so you can hear the guide and ask questions.
Why a big house and a grower on one day
Champagne is made by two kinds of producer, and they give you two different visits. A
big house takes you down into its chalk cellars, past racks of bottles, and explains the
method on a scale you cannot see anywhere else. A family grower shows you the vines the
wine comes from, and often the person who made it pours it. This day gives you both, so
you do not have to choose before you know which you prefer.
Which house you visit is set by availability. The listing names seven it works with:
Mumm, Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Mercier, Pommery, Lanson and Nicolas Feuillatte.
Booked direct, their cheapest visits cost from €20 at Nicolas Feuillatte to €48 at Moët
& Chandon and Pommery, per person, as each house prices them in September 2026. Here
that visit is in your fare. If one name matters to you, the
private Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot day is the tour that books both
by name. The houses and what a visit costs sets out each
one.
Lunch with three champagnes, at a grower's or in a restaurant
After the house comes a drive through the vineyards. When the weather allows, your guide
stops among the vines and pours, talking you through the soil and the grapes. Lunch then
takes two hours. It is served at a family-run champagne house or at a local restaurant, with
classic French cooking and at least three champagnes: a Blanc de Blancs, a Blanc de Noirs, a
rosé, or ratafia, the region's sweet liqueur, when there is some.
The afternoon visit is the second producer, a family estate or a cooperative. That
makes three producers in one day, the most of any shared day we list from Paris. Compare it
with the other day tours from paris to champagne before you decide. Tell the operator about any
dietary needs when you book, not on the day.
How the ten hours run
Morning, your Paris hotel. The minivan collects you; a fresh croissant and water are on board.
About 2 hours on the road. Your guide introduces the region and how champagne is made.
A big house, 1 hour 30 minutes. A guided cellar tour and your first tasting.
Through the vineyards, 30 minutes. With a tasting among the vines, weather permitting.
Lunch, 2 hours. Classic French food with at least three champagnes.
A second producer, 1 hour 30 minutes. A family estate or a cooperative, and another tasting.

Tips for your guide
From your Paris hotel, back to the Hôtel de Ville
The minivan picks you up at your hotel or apartment in central Paris. The
listing does not print a pickup time: you see it when you choose your date, and the operator
confirms it. If friends booked separately, tell the operator, so that you are put in the same
minivan.
At the end of the day the shared tour drops everyone at Place de l'Hôtel de Ville, in the
4th arrondissement, not at each hotel. From there the metro and taxis are close by. If you
book the private option instead, you are taken back to your own door. The
visitor guide covers the train, if you would rather go alone.
Know before you go
Bring a warm layer. The cellars stay at about 10 °C all year, so wear a jumper even in August.
Wear shoes with grip. Cellar floors are damp and there are stairs down to them.
Name your diet when you book. Lunch is fixed in advance, so say then if you need a change.
It runs with four or more. Below four travellers the operator may cancel, and then offers an alternative or a full refund.
Not for young children. The day is not suitable for children under 4.
Not for wheelchair users. If you use a folding wheelchair and have some mobility, contact the operator first.
What travellers said about the day
★★★★★
Champagne day from Paris: a big house, growers and lunch
The region is a long way from Paris, but the guide's knowledge and humour made the drive worth it: three vineyards, plenty of tastings and a lovely lunch.

Champagne day from Paris: a big house, growers and lunch
The Mumm cellar tour explained how champagne is made, and the small family vineyards were the highlight; the one regret was no chance to buy bottles to take away.

Champagne day from Paris: a big house, growers and lunch
A large house in Mumm, two smaller ones and a good lunch, shared with two other couples and a guide who kept the conversation going.
It depends on availability on your date. The listing names Mumm, Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, Mercier, Pommery, Lanson and Nicolas Feuillatte. Veuve Clicquot closes for the winter, so from late December to early April it will be one of the others.
Can we do this day privately?
Yes. The operator sells a private version that collects you and brings you back to your own door. If you want the two most famous names by name, the private Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot day books both.
How much time is spent driving?
About two hours each way, which is the same on every day tour from Paris. That leaves about six hours in the region.
Is lunch included?
Yes. A French lunch with at least three champagnes is in the fare, at a family champagne house or a local restaurant.
Can we buy bottles to take home?
Some travellers say there was no time to buy bottles at the producers. If buying matters to you, ask your guide early in the day.
Is it in English?
Yes, the guide speaks English. French and Spanish depend on the guide and the producers on your date.
